Brief History of COREN EAC

The Engineering Accreditation Committee (EAC) was established by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) to handle accreditation matters in line with international best practices in jurisdictions where Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is implemented for engineering programmes and they carry out accreditation of the programmes following Outcome-Based Assessment. With the establishment of EAC, it has become necessary to review the 2019 edition of the COREN OBE Accreditation Manual. Also following the principle of Continuous Quality Improvement, it is necessary to make improvements in some parts of the manual. These reasons led to the production of this 2023 edition of the COREN OBE Accreditation Manual.
